    Well, here's the deal:

    * It's Mexican Independence weekend and Morales and Canelo are both Mexican
    * Sounds like Morales was calling the fight for some TV station or something (likely in Mexico)

    "hometown" scoring, sounds like :)

    No one should be surprised that Hoya, Hopkins, Chavez Sr or Morales said Canelo won. It'd be surprising if they said he did not win, IMO.

    On the Boxnation broadcast he has Golovkin winning comfortably and confirmed he had the score the same as Steve Lillis in the studio.

    My personal layman score card

    round 1. Canelo and easy
    round 2 Canelo
    round 3 Canelo and easy
    round 4 GGG close
    round 5 Canelo great action round
    round 6 GGG (TOO DAMN CLOSE TO CALL I dont know im not a professional)
    round 7 GGG (Canelo is resting)
    round 8 Canelo easy
    round 9 GGG (Canelo is resting)
    round 10 Canelo ( canelo opens can of whup arse early, Then GGG comes back)
    round 11 GGG ( GGG gives kidney punch, Canelo returns favor with nut shot)
    round 12 GGG (canelo opens can of whup ass early , Then GGG comes back) TOO DAMN CLOSE TO CALL REALLY

    This fight is hard to judge because Canelo will start rounds early whupping butt, then GGG will come back late. so then you only left with who landed the most effective punches. feel sorry for the judges.

    CANELO IS REALLY A BETTER BOXER SKILL WISE, BETTER FOOT WORK, BETTER BODY SWIVEL, BETTER HEAD MOVEMENT POOR STAMINA REST A LOT IN LATE ROUNDS.

    Canelo had some darn good footwork in this fight. Gotta give him props on that.

    GGG won 6, 2 even, 4 Alvarez. GG has lost a step & is ageing now but he won that. Bit of a let down fight, didn't live up to the hype, style wise it was odd too, the Mexican high output, front foot volume combination puncher was doing a fairly passable FMJ impersonation running or laying on the ropes & GG (though he clearly won IMO looked a little like Klitschko versus Jennings's, he's lost a step & can't pull the trigger anymore it seems) maybe I'm a conspiracy theorist but it looked a bit staged to me, GG wasn't throwing, mixing it up & had no pop on his shots, Alvarez was backing off too much! GG again (see Jacobs) won by effective aggression & ring generalship & via the jab! Was funny watching the Mexicans boo Alvarez & social media is tearing that whole golden boy team up, Byrd you are incompetent & the fix was in probably long before they both got in the ring, Oscar you corrupt ****! Dunno, was it fixed, I feel bad for thinking GG has that in him! He seems a man of integrity! GG should go for a Saunders fight now & then call it a day. He still had his belts so it could have been worse. Roll on Loma v Rigo at the garden in December is all I can say! This stunk

    There is a clear and documented pattern of dubious scorecards in Canelo's favor for a six fight sample size now. How many more need to happen for certain people to understand what is going on?
