Their priority has always been Canelo, so why fight in June and risk injury, having back to back training camps, not allowing time to recover, putting doubt in sponsors, busy with world tour, press conferences, HBO face off, and other interviews... If Canelo beat's Chavez Jr, Oscar might have a new Idea and might say to Golovkin maybe in may 2018 or @164 pounds. What if Chavez Jr knocks out Canelo ? Come one an Alvarez fight isn't really legacy defining for Golovkin. 3 month later all the haters will rate is as a mismatch because Canelo was just to small.
