Oddly enough to some, I disagree. I think Kovalev actually hits harder. On a scale to 10, I actually only rate Golovkins power at about a 7 - 8 on his planted liver shot or loaded shot. Its still very very respectable, considering he doesnt have to load up to get a "7" and can throw them all night in volume. But what generates the results as far as I can see is punch accuracy and setup. Like the uppercut Rubio didnt see coming, the planted perfectly set up liver shot on Macklin, the perfect chin shot on Ishida that had his body weight behind it. For me though I dont see him crushing people with power, I see him hitting targets effectively with lots of "good" shots.
Kovalevski and Golovkinski are the future, along with a slew of other russians.. The future's red. :smoke
