GGG would take this as from what I've seen he's a special talent.

People shouldn't forget AAA was a brute at MW though, let's not forget about that seen as he hasn't been the same moving up to SMW.

Exactly he had an aura of invincibility in 160, stayed undefeated, start losing steam in 168...hence GGG should stay in 160 win or lose vs JCC

Stevens is just as dangerous as AA when it comes to punching.

I dont see anyone with a low work rate beating GGG. Sometimes people with a tight guard get their opponents to punch themselves out. Not a good strat against Golovkin, who is much more likely to punch his opponent out before he gasses.

Styles make fights, and I dont see how AA style of letting people work too much would be good for his chances.

AA was never that good (tough yes but not really skilled) . GGG is still a question mark till this day .

    TOSS UP

AA was the same as GGG in 160 today, a champ with an invincible aura

GGG favored by decision due to AA reliance on power punching :think

Ive always felt AA punching power was overrated . He can hurt you no question .

But there was nothing devastating nor was he a 1 punch knockout artist .

AA's power shots are brutal. He puts everything behind those shots and if it lands, it's usually a devastaing KO. I don't care how good your chin is, if AA lands, it's good night.

AA has better one punch power than GGG, and better defense, but GGG is a better boxer and has better offensive variety. Tough fight to call, but I know it'll be exciting.

Curtis style and power suites 154, I am sure he is missing out some bits on the S & C side of the game...or he simply thinks 160 still has big $ over 154... Which is no longer the case :smoke

I have AA by late stoppage somewhere in rds 8-10.
GGG is unproven and hasn't faced the caliber of AA opponent.
AA has improved since Edison and I think AA boxes GGG thru early & Mid rounds before stopping him in late rds.

    Lots of theory...weak evidence

Stats go like this favorable to least favorable

    #1. GGG win SD
    #2. GGG win MD
    #3. GGG win UD
    #4. Draw
    #5. AA win SD
    #6. AA win MD
    #7. AA win UD

Top 7 values lack KO for any, based on facts...neither been stopped at 160, chin favors GGG, default positive

Decisions favor GGG due to activity
AA less likely to win a dec, if he does judging & power punches quality can cause it. KO for either is so far down...

AA boxes GGG? joke as usual. How has AA improved? He recently should have lost to some no name African and quit in 3 vs Stieglitz? You just can't get anything right, can you?

Easy decision win for Golovkin unless he gets tired and gets caught in the later rounds.
