For your own sake, stop digging.

Are you seriously telling me that Terrence Crawford is elite, but guys like Mike McCallum and Sumbu Kalambay weren't?

Sumbu Kalambay fought peak versions of Mike McCallum.

Take your own advice you fool.

The logic is Steve Collins, I added his name there for a reason.

The only fool here is you for not recognising Bud is elite at 140, better than his peers. He's in his own league. That's what the "Elite" is. M Garcia is elite right now, a few others are. Did MM & SK dominate the opposition so badly everybody thought they were the 1? No, they were world class. Nothing more. Pac, clearly elite. FMJ, elite. GGG, elite. Hagler, elite, SRL, elite. Putting names like MM & SK in with the elite is quite laughable really. You should be ashamed.

He was clearly a better fighter at 168lbs. As was Toney.

What's funny is that people now after GGG went life and death with Jacobs they try and make him out to be like he's some elite talent he's not. This is the same Jacobs everyone here myself included said he would be brutally KOed by GGG. Jacobs wasn't rated by anyone here and no one ever talked about him. He was supposed to be just another showcase fight for GGG. To try and put him in the same class with the likes of Nunn just to prop up GGG is one of the most desperate reaches I've ever seen on a boxing forum. Nunn was light years better than Jacobs, he was truly elite.

    Wow!

    Seriously, Wow!

You are the one who should be ashamed.

    You are absolutely clueless.

    Seriously, this is cringeworthy.

You have no understanding of anything.

    So:

    Crawford is elite

    GG is elite

Yet it's laughable to label Mike McCallum as elite?

    Oh my.

    I actually pity you.

I pity you for embarrassing yourself like this to the rest of the forum.

This is a prime example of an ignorant person defiantly digging their heels in, without having any knowledge of what they're talking about.

Seriously, I actually feel bad for you.

Mike McCallum was an elite boxer. Nobody with any knowledge of the man would dispute that. But you obviously possess zero knowledge of the man's career. To you, Mike McCallum is just another fighter listed on BoxRec.

No, Mike didn't dominate his class in the way that some of the guys you mentioned have. But guess what Einstein? Mike fought the likes of: Jackson, Kalambay, Graham, Collins, Curry and Toney etc.

Do you seriously think Mikey Garcia, Terrence Crawford and GG would have been as dominant, had they have consistently fought the calibre of fighters that Mike did??

GG has just had 2 competitive fights against Jacobs and Canelo. So do you seriously think he'd have dominated the early 90's in the same manner as today, if he'd have been in the mix with the likes of: Jackson, Toney, Roy, Benn, Nunn, Johnson, Eubank, Watson, Collins and McClellan etc??

You don't even know how to rank a fighter, and you simply don't rate guys who you're not familiar with.

    You are completely ignorant.

    An absolute JOKE!

You don't deserve the time of any knowledgeable fan.

No, he enjoyed more success at SMW against lesser fighters.

His claim to fame at SMW is beating a faded Eubank in close fights, as well as beating shot versions of Nigel Benn.

Eight pounds isn't going to make a huge difference when you're looking at Toney and GG.

There is no logic in saying that Toney would have won easily at 168, but GG would have won easily at 160.

Once again, you've highlighted your complete lack of knowledge.

How far can this guy go?

    Reggie was a journeyman.

    Nunn and Jacobs are alike.

It's laughable to label Mike McCallum as elite.

We have another Bailey on our hands.

An "elite" boxer defeats these world title contenders without going life and death with anybody.
    Jackson, Kalambay, Graham, Collins, Curry.
That's why they are called the "Elite" because they make World class guys like the above names look like amateurs.
If you don't understand this, I really don't care. That's the definition of what an elite boxer is. 1 of a kind in their division, they don't get SD with contenders, they beat them 119/109

Only a select few are elite. Nunn wasn't. MM wasn't.

I could call Eubank, Benn, Collins, RJJ, Toney and Hopkins elite using your own low standards. Only a few names I just mentioned are "Elite" and some of them are in different weight classes. Joe is elite. Ward is. Froch sure as **** ain't, and he has a better resume than Ward.

No he's not. Public opinion matters way more than corrupt and paid off judges sport ;) Does the vast majority think Sergey won that first fight?? I think we both know that answer :D

Keep hating. And GGG is still UNDEFEATED and is coming for your boy Hopkins middleweight title defense record. Lol DEAL WITH IT!

GGG's record isn't perfect he has a draw on it. And if he continues and rematches Canelo or fights Charlo he will have a L next to that draw. Deal with it.
