Well both sides agree that the fight shouldn't get done now. And I don't think it should without Ward having 1 or 2 proper fights first.
Ive grown to really like Golovkin. Id rather watch him than Ward any day. But his fans are morons. From the ATG talk to wanting Ward to come down in weight. That would do NOTHING for GGG's legacy except have an asterisk next to the fight should he win. His rabid fans only want it so he has an advantage. If you want to be great than move up and beat the man in his own division or just stay in yours and clean it out. Personally I dont think he can beat Ward and i dont think he thinks so either. Thats no slight against him unless he simply refuses to go up and take on the best.
You called me a racist first with absolutely no evidence other than I like EE fighters. I don't obsessively criticize any fighters except for Cotto Khan and Rigo because Cotto and Khan are divas and Rigo is dull and overrated. And even then most of my criticism isn't close to as venomous as yours. You hate Wlad because he's white. There are many dirty fighters who hold too much yet you don't seem to care one iota about them I wonder why?
Aside from the fact it would be Golovkins biggest win by far and a legitimate victory over a top P4P stalwart. Ward doesn't have the biggest name marketing-wise, but don't pretend like him bringing a lineal title to the table is "nothing." It would be a major legacy fight for Golovkin, and a win for him would probably seal him as a first ballot hof'er down the road.
All Chavez Jr had to do was actually win 1 big fight and he would've got paid. He did not want it. Then he ran across the street to hide behind Haymon just like Stevenson did. AIDS has ate up your brain, you Haitian f@ggot.
i know.....but to be fair(and i could be wrong) i think arum offered more than 2.5 if chavez fought ggg without signing an extension....but it was still much less than what he offered if chavez signed an extension....which is strange because it meant the money was there for chavez to fight ggg...so bob was obvi playing games with chavez trying to force his hand and it seems funny...because if ggg destroyed chavez what would future chavez fights be worth anyway...if i was bob i woulda hung him out to dry and said here take the money you want
Fn spell check I meant Gatti vs mayweather was a ppv between 2 fighters never having fought on ppv and it worked... Ward vs GGG will work too, everyone involved has to be willing to take a calculated risk putting it on ppv.
Can we assume from this thread, that not one poster who is kunting off GGG is a fvcking Pact ard, because they are more than happy for their boy to fight catchweights.
It was a 1 fight extension. Chavez Jr was going to make 7mil for the first fight. If he beat GGG, then he was set to make 10mil for his next fight. I think there was a rematch clause. Chavez Jr has never won a big fight though, so he most likely would've ended up making the 5mil for his next fight. That's a likely total of $12mil for 2 fights with the potential to make $17mil plus the PPV money. All that for a lazy stoner who has never won a major fight. Chavez Jr did not want this fight at any weight for any money.
