Its how he did against prime Jacobs first. He came within a point of beating Jacobs. Jacobs just gave GGG all he could handle. Because he was top notch, he got a shot for the vacant IBF title vs GGG, then gave GGG all he could handle. Then off of that, he got a shot at Charlo. The dude performs against the elite of the division.
Cause GG failed to impress. He had all the advantages going in to that series. He was the true middleweight, he was considered a puncher, and he's supposedly some master ring general.. This was supposed to be an easy win over some matinee star moving up in weight, and instead Canelo made him look funny. It is what it is

And alot of people thought Derevyanchenko beat Golovkin what's the difference ? as i said even if you give Golovkin the 1st fight vs Canelo, there was nothing wrong with the scoring in fights 2 and 3 which were scored fairly. Does Golovkin's standing really improve going 1-2 vs Canelo instead of 0-2-1 ?
