You can't, because he didn't. The *******s are lauding Manny for his "ring generalship" and "effective aggression." - but someone should clue them in: Manny is the one with the BEARD.
JMM landed so many of these, I can't believe Manny didn't go down. Evidently, if you're an overhyped boxer with almost no defensive skills, having a really thick skull & a tiny brain can be very beneficial!
Marquez is indeed a joy to watch, but why do so many of your posts drip with bias against Pac? It's a problem that I also see amongst some of the big Floyd fans on this forum. On occasion they bring up interesting technical points, but it's often so coated in their own agenda (boosting their favourite fighter and putting down another fighter) that it becomes silly. Marquez has some excellent skills, but Pac has some great qualities too. That's what makes it so interesting when they clash -- both of them are good to watch, but they elevate each other to higher levels when they're in the ring together. They often bring the best out of one another.
Wow, one whole decent head-shot, for the entire fight. I'm impressed! - And it didn't even have anything on it. Manny was too far away, his legs were no longer behind it, and JMM was easily able to pull his head baack and minimize the blow. JMM's shots, on the other hand, were numerous, had JMM's legs fully behind them, and contorted Manny's face like he was the Elephant Man. All night long. Nice try, *******, but EPIC FAIL.
Lands on the shoulder on purpose??? LOL.. he was going for the head look at his eyes. Pac slipped past it as he turns with his own punch (which is very similar to the KD punch in the 2nd fight) but barely misses and Juan follows up better with a combination. For the initial "shoulder" shot he slipped past Pac's jab and had no room to look at his own blow so it didn't matter to him if it hit or missed. Had he focused on actually landing it instead of following up with a combination, he'd have to turn his head to see, which Pac's left would have been there to say hi.
It's actually pretty fun to watch these exchanges to see what two great fighters are thinking. :thumbsup
This fight was'nt even competive my friend, and the gifs here I'm commenting on are all Marquez setting Pacquiao up. Pacquiao is a great at what he does. He's a fast punching energetic dynamo tailor made to destroy B level opposition, but lacks the skills neccesary to compete on a round by round basis with the the truly great skill fighters of the sport. .....now here me out. My statement does'nt mean Pacquaio cant beat alot of these better skilled fighters I'm talking about, because without a doubt, his speed, quickness, stamina, and ability to take punishment always keeps him in a fight where a single well placed punch from him can turn the tide. ......but on a round by round basis, unlike what most even boxing experts like Emmanuel Steward has been saying lately that Pacquiao belongs with the immortals of the sport as far as combined physical and technical skills are concerned, ABSOLUTELY NOT!
You guys are both off. The right is a set up for the combination. This is a common combo thrown when you are looking to land the left hook, right cross. There is a gif of Gamboa doing the same exact thing on Mtagwa, except Yuri adds another 3 punches to this combination.
I stand by my post MV. The height levely in which Marquez guides that right hand tells me he's aiming at Pacquiao's arm or chest. The greats do this all the time to not only take away a punching arm from an opponent, but to also throw him off rhythm and create openings for themselve. Boxing is'nt just see the opening, pull the trigger. When the opening is'nt there, the greats create their own openings........the same with the gif where Pac gets in a high guard, the opening for a punishing shot is'nt there, but Marquez see's the creece downstairs and jabs at Pacquiao's belly to not only get his attention, but that in turn gets Marquez in positon to come up with the uppercut inbetween Pacquiao's guard.
This content is protected Reposted the gif I hate scrolling up :yep. I can see it as a setup but I can also see that the trajectory is the same place where Pac's head was before hit left JMM's field of vision as he was slipping the jab. If you place a dot where Pac's head is when JMM ducks, the punch stops at the same relative spot, but Pac's turned body creates an obstruction. The intention imo was a combination but I do think he meant for that shot to land but didn't care if it did or not.
Correct. I'll post the gif of Gamboa demonstrating it when I get from from work. It's on a site I can't access. Here you go megavolt. Below you can see Gamboa use the right to set up the rest of the combination. This content is protected
I'm just looking at the height level of Pacquiao's head, and it never changed. Had Pacquiao been in somewhat of a crouch and then came out of it when Marquez was unleaching or about to unleach that right hand, I would see your view of it. .....but Pacquiao's head level relative to the floor hardly changed a bit, which is why I say the right to the shoulder was deliberate. ......wait a minute, what am I saying???? Next thing you know *******s will be complaining that deliberate shots to an opponents shoulder is cheating.:blood:blood:blood:!:
