    as good as mosley is.

    he hadn't held a world title since 2002.

    least tszyu was a champion and in his mid 30's.

    i agree that cotto has the slightly better resume.

    and would beat ricky.

    but i don't think there's a great deal in it like some on here.

    Tszyu was ranked #2 or #3 in the world before Hatton beat him. Whilst Mosley has a much better resume, it wasn't a bigger win. It's exactly like that other thread, Tszyu/Hatton or Hopkins/Calzaghe.

    Cotto was favoured to beat Mosley. Hatton was the massive underdog.
    Tszyu was ranked #2 or #3. Hatton wasn't top 15.
    Mosley was around 12th. Cotto was possibly top 10.

    Hatton's win over Tszyu was bigger than Cotto's over Mosley. No doubt about it.

    also the manner of victory counts for something.

    cotto just about won it really.

    hatton stopped him.
