Was watching it in the pub and although I couldnt hear the sound, I nearly fell off my seat when I seen his corecard after 11 rounds. I though Burns won the fight by at minimum 2 or 3 rounds including the points O'Hara was deducted. Ricky needs to step it up a level in his next fight tho, he looked flat tonight.

I thought Ricky was way below his usual best. Its always difficult to fight an awkward guy like O`Hara who`s having the best fight of his life. I could see you in the corner, Billy, trying to keep him calm, but theres always a concern when you do that, you lose aggression and your opponent takes the initiative.
And whats with the right uppercut lead??? Heard you telling him repeatedly to work behind the jab! Didn`t realize he was deaf !!!!
He got it right in the last round though so he showed he could do it. Who`d be a boxing coach? Rather you than me, Billy !!

good one grendal, you become a coach for a month then you will appreciate your own job more ha ha.kevin o'hara only had 1 point took off for using the head.if you watch the fight you will see kevin leaning forward thats why ricky was throwing and landing that punch addmitedly to often

I was watching my tape of Ricky vs Graham Earl just there, imo Burns won 7 out of the 8 rounds and gave Earl a total boxing lesson, almost in the same league as Calzaghe/Lacy.

That fanny Glen McCorry thought that burns "just nicked it" with his "cleaner work". What a load of shite, it was nearly a shut out.

The mans a jock hater Mik, plain & simple.

Scotty Harrison owned THPjnr when he was a novice fighting in America, & the judges awarded Scotty Harrison a wide UD.

But bold Glenn McCrory had the fight a draw... I would laugh if the scots hating ***** didnt annoy me so much.
hes at it all the time, & its getting pretty tiresome.

No doubt if hes pretending to be be co-commentating live when McEwans last fight airs on SKY he will be his usual nasty scots hating self, & cos he knows the result, I bet my bottom dollar that Glenn if hes involved either as a co-commentator or as a studio 'analyst' wont have a nice word to say about Craig McEwan.
Why? cos hes got a history of being a ***** when it comes to all things scottish, & I dont expect him to behave any differently next week.

    Spot on...

I've not really noticed GM being overly biased against Scottish fighters either. As long as they keep winning, who gives a ****.

Burns just is not a great fighter and is lucky to have no serious contenders for his belt at the moment. Probably the weakest belt holder in Britain at the moment.
