Google translate is a constant source of amusement. I was reading a translation of some of the comments on a Polish boxing website yesterday and I saw that one of the comments referred to Bellew as a ''peasant,'' which I found very amusing. I saw another one where they referred to a Polish boxer as one too so I'm sure it was just a poor translation. Weirdly enough a lot of the Poles whose comments I read seem to really like Bellew lol Author of the commentary: StefanBatory Date: 12-11-2018 11:21:20 good luck Anthony ) character how little. all the best. I do not know why I liked him so much. Author of the commentary: MLJ Date: 12-11-2018 11:58:15 Because the peasant is honest and his behavior is not directed. He can give respect to whom he defeated or who he lost. A large class. I also wish him health and good luck. I think they will not let him disappear from the box, he will get some commentary from SKY, because he has a talk and is intelligent. That's a real shame about Briedis and his trainer, the later sounds like a good guy and by the sounds of it Briedis has really messed up and things aren't looking good for him going forward. He shouldn't have even entered season 2 of the WBSS if he's injured and all is not well in his camp and he's working with third-rate trainers.
Yeah he looked awful and it was obvious he's carrying an injury and wasn't right mentally at all. He should pull out of the tourney if he's only got one good hand and that's all he can offer. Noel is decent fighter but a healthy Briedis with both hands in working order is levels above him. If he goes into a fight with Glowacki still carrying an injury and can't resolve the issues with his training he'll lose to Glowacki who unlike Noel is a big puncher.
Yeah, if we are to believe Kleins (and I have no reason not to, he’s a level headed guy and in those interviews comes across exactly as he does in real life minus the fact that he’s not so passive), WBC title and fame that came with it got to Mairis head a tad too much. To be fair, none of them trainers, Klein included, can be considered experts of the highest order but Sandis did an excellent job at getting into Mairis head and keep him focused, help him bring out the best in him. The new team is more yes-men, they can’t teach him **** let alone motivate or rein him in. If you read the full interview, Klein thinks that changing managers, from Siesta to Saurland, was a smart move cuz with the change came “favouritism” of judges and he kind of hints that only because of his connections he got the win against Gevor. Must agree with him there, really. Hope Briedis sorts his **** out and starts making the right moves, he’s still following training schedule Klein made so he knows what’s good for him.
It's odd because Briedis seems like a lovely chap in the interviews I've seen of his and Chef (the Klitschko's chef who used to post on here) commented on what a nice guy he is. Me too, I'm a fan of his and rate him highly and I want him to win the tournament. That said, I should imagine there's not too many top level boxing trainers over in Latvia so maybe he should look to hook up with a top foreign one before his next fight or try and sort things out with Klein if not that. I like Siesta he's a cool guy. Seen quite a few of his interviews. This content is protected
He really is a great guy and, as Klein said, he was just a regular cool dude you meet. People change I guess, at the very least we’ve all had a period in our lives when we had our nose up too high and managed to **** up relationships with decent people as a result. I don’t think he’ll get back with Klein. He’s too busy in his new projects. Stranger things have happened though, can’t underestimate the power of bromance. There really aren’t world-class trainers in any of the combat sports in Latvia, mostly due to that cold & rational soviet-style / no individual approach training.
True. Still a shame though. Hopefully the situation can be resolved and he recovers fully from the injury before the semi-final against Glowacki as he's a top fighter when he's healthy and firing on all cylinders. A healthy and happy Briedis with a good trainer in his corner beats everyone in that tournament.
