    No. Please, just no.

Let Holyfield retire now, in peace.

I felt that last fight was close, I mean really close it was like a sparring session to be honest with you. Neither guy took control of that fight, Holyfield was the man comming forward and did land the harder shots.

This fight here, the ticket is to sit inside the pocket and work then get out and rest when your tired, stay out of the big mans range. its a big order to handle, but I think if there is any belt to be won for Holyfield this would be it, but honestly thats a big man he is in there with and against big men Holyfield has almost always had trouble with.

however I do look at it this way, if John Ruiz can compete Holyfield might be able to as well, if Monte Barrett can hang in there and stun the big man I think Evander has a shot. either way I am praying Evander come out of this one safe, and hopefully with a Win.

People like me? I didn't make the fight. I was against it from day 1 but since it's going through I might as well root for Evander. What am I gonna do? Abandon a fighter I've spent the better part of my life rooting for? This fight is in Switzerland and is geared toward a primarily European audience. Over here he just gets called an old man but in Zurich? How many chances do they get to see a living legend? Throw in the biggest heavyweight champion of all-time and you've got a genuine anomaly of a fight. Evander's gonna fight no matter what regardless of fan support. As long as he's medically cleared to do so he'd fight in an empty ballroom in Budapest or Helsinki so don't go saying that "it is people like me who allow these matchups to happen."

I really wish Holyfield would retire. I'm not one of those who wants everyone to retire soon as they are past their prime. But Holyfield is plain shot and has been for a few years. He has almost no chance against Valuev. But I will still root for the old warrior. I've always like Evander and I'd root for anyone to get rid of the whole Valuev-Ruiz-Chagaev series.

If he somehow wins, Holyfield would go after Tyson to come out of retirement before be would face the klitschkos

If Holyfield wins, expect a frantic attempt by Bowe to try to set up another bout too.
