This fight will be closer than many people think..

I am not going to say much, but what I will say that this fight is going the distance and any fight going to the cards barring Khan getting KD or getting points taken off for pushing is in with a shout even vs Floyd.

Put is this way, if Khan stays on his feet he mostly wins that round, now Floyd is not know for his power punching, Plus Khan will come in the ring near 160lbs I don't see Floyd hurting Khan.

TBH i'm non plussed by it cos in reality Maidana would get a pasting and so will Khan. Khan will get dismantled in a systematic fashion.

    Thoughts on this fight..

Khan often uses up a lot of nervous energy early and this being his biggest ever fight i think he will look to circle on the outside with lots of movement and rapid flurries with range finding jabs whilst trying not to give much away.

Floyd will open up with a tentative first round as he feints to see Khan's reactions and finds his timing, He will play possum using the jab to keep Khan occupied but he won't rush out of the blocks here he will take at least a round to see what he's working with. It won't take long for Floyd to work Khan's movements out and his defensive reactions though..

Khan may have some early success with a few punches with some cuffing and catching arms and body. His jab, left hook, and Single right hand may have some success as Floyd adjusts to the speed but the remedy will be single counters when Khan's looking for a exit.

Round Two-Three Floyd starts to control centre ring, Starts to walk towards Khan using his body as defense. He cut the ring down on Khan, Khan's footwork isn't educated enough to trouble Floyd who will step across and cut him off. Floyd will then utilize his jab to great effect with it knocking Khan's head back and stabbing him jabs to Khan's body.

Khan will IMO flurry more sporadically and more out of being forced to than because of openings. Floyd as i mentioned will use his body to defend these attacks by taking em' on arms and shoulders and picking off with the backhand.

Within that Floyd will start to land counters as Khan will get caught out of position. Khan will get caught and look to create space and Floyd will walk him down keeping the pressure on Khan.

The more Floyd walks him down the more Khan will get caught with lead right hands and counters. Floyd will close the space and Khan will pull forward guard and Floyd will invest in the body as Peterson did. Floyd a good body puncher but also Khan puts the ear muffs on but he leaves the eardrum open and Floyd will bend around with the right hand.

By rounds 4-5 Khan will start to slow, The warrior within him will continue to fight but unlike Canelo who mentally unravelled but stayed in the fight Khan will lead to his own demise by opening up for counters and leads.

I sense stoppage around 6-8 rounds in with maybe Hunter calling a halt to the action. To many if's and but's around this fight for Khan. ''If he can..'' ''but his speed''.

End of the day timing has proven even against Khan that it beats speed. Khan mentioned #skillvsskill well he's deluding himself he simply isn't on the skill level of Mayweather.

Mayweather's hands are the only thing stopping him from gaining a stoppage here IMHO.

You don't have to be quick or that smart to beat Khan. Floyd's a chess player and Khan doesn't have the brains nor the ability to execute a plan for 12 rounds and Floyd isn't a concussive puncher but he's sharp and hurtful and i think he will hurt Khan a few times but the sheer accuracy and volume will be to much.

One fighter hardly loses breath, fights at his pace. The other is often looking tired as normal fighters do by the midway point and gets bullied out of his gameplan.

Mayweather picks his prey and this reminds me of Ortiz all over again...

I actually think Hunter's work with Khan will lead to Khan being stopped. I think the worst thing Khan could do is make this a thinking fight.

Hunter is not good for Khan. Mayweather's poll has Khan winning, but all the other polls have Maidana winning. Khan is faster than Void, but he has to watch out for the counter shot.

On the dot. Khan was looking so much better with Roach. With Hunter he is having to make too many changes, and what he does doesn't look natural. He is continuously trying to think what Hunter would want him to do. At least with Roach he was making steady improvement (barring the stupid lunges and subsequent KO by Garcia).
