Yh, I used to train alongside him yrs ago back when he was an AM. He was always suited for the pro game. Very positive young man, one of the most I have ever met in my life actually. I honestly can't count the amount of times I've seen him lay guys OUT in sparring.
That's an excellent card, seeing Frampton, Proska, Cardle and Ryder would be a good night of boxing. That's even before the main event, MAGIC MATT.
Frampton's opp: http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=289935&cat=boxer Tbf, I think Eddie has some great advantages over other promoters in that he is backed by a highly profitable sports promotion company, meaning the consequences of him not breaking even on shows aren't as bad as they are for others. Also he and his dad obviously have a fantastic working relationship with Sky and they seem happy to be back EH so that he can stack some of these cards.
Jesus wept, don't really see the point in that fight to be honest. Not sure what Frampton's going to take from it. I have high hopes that Proksa could be the man from that pack of 10-15 middleweight belt holders/contenders who in time will be able to step up and really challenge Martinez at the weight. Hopefully, he sticks around with Matchroom too so we get to see his development up close
Lets not go overboard and anoint Hearn as the saver just yet. All promoters are the same, really you can't put a cig paper between them and nothing much tells me that Hearn is any different.
I would say Hearn is less money motivated then the majority of promoters out there, we'll see over the next few years.
