Foreman KO 1 Liston and the crowd screams in demand for their money back after seeing what a fraud Liston is.

I would say the odds would be pretty even, and either guy could legitimately win IMHO! I would lean towards Liston (KO 7) if I had to pick, but would not feel comfortable putting money on either guy in this fight!

I like Liston. He's a fighter that would deny Foreman his usual advantages, has quicker hands and a super jab for hoovering up points.

I was going to post this match-up, but my sexy thread would have had a poll, pictures and videos.
If only I wasn't so damn slow...like Foreman!

I'll post my prediction later, after I've finished being disappointed.

The classic forum is better this way. Not better in quality but it's better just in entertainment value.

Yep. A lot better than "Calzaghe beat a near prime Jones Jr."

I'd say 60/40 Foreman. I'll think about this, though and come back tomorrow.

    What's with the Goebbles-esque anti-Liston propaganda today?

I like Liston for the same reason I like Louis against Foreman. Sharper, more accurate and hard punches, a better jab to set things up and excellent timing.

It's a 50-50 for me. While Liston is better technically, Foreman has intangibles Liston seems not to. If the going gets tough I like Foreman. I have doubts Liston can control Foreman without getting into some sort of a scrap. Would be interesting.

you know i don't like bringing this up but it has been tough for liston before. like with his fights with valdes, folley, williams, and dejohn.

So you don't think Liston has faster hands?
    I really beg to differ.

I lean towards Liston. I think Liston's skills as a boxer are underatted.

If Foreman gets in trouble the way he did against Lyle he would not win. I think Foreman was fighting off ring rust in that fight and in doing so the fight was more difficult than it otherwise would have been. This could very well be a case of which man hurts the other first. Both men were an impressive physical presense to say the least. I think I would lean towards Foreman by kayo in a thrilling fight that sees both men have their moments.
