He had also blatantly headbutted Nicholson in his previous bout

Golata is a bum , talented bum but still a bum.

Accidental low blows my ass in the first fight........his corner BEGGED him not to throw bodyshots and what does Golata do the moment the bell rings.........hits low.

And what Apollack posted is right on the money, the Pole cannot deal with ANY heat against a fighter that can crack a little.

No he boxed Bowe's ears off both times, if he had a corner who encouraged him to hold and clinch instead of foul he would have won the UD both times. Bowe may have got the Ws but these fights ended his career

Golota quit because he hit Bowe with everything he had and Bowe kept fighting back. He was beating Bowe, but Bowe wasnt falling and thats why he quit in both fights. Bowe was getting his butt kicked but he won the fights by fighting back. Golota didnt like guys he couldnt completely dominate unless they didnt punch hard.

Short of having the worlds leading team of psychologists in his corner I don't see how that's possible.

Ability wise he definitely had bowe's number but mentality wise he couldn't handle him at all.

Short of a 1 punch ko I can't see him ever beating bowe because big daddy at his worst could take the shots and fire back. Big daddy at his best probably turns up the heat and stops him earlier.

Riddick's career ended early for a number of reasons and these two fights are right up there with them.
