This. People are just adding to his weight, making up numbers.

Canelo being 180 plus is a joke

but him and GGG are the same size

This is correct. If I would have to guess it exactly I would say that Golovkin would enter the fight at 172 pounds and Alvarez at 173

    :D GGG ~ 170 lbs., as usual !

:rofl El Mucho Royale ( see beer commercial) Pollo Canelo ~ 180 lbs.

given that he's gone up from 155 Lbs. to ~ 172 Lbs. lately.

    ;)

Put it this way, on fight night, Canelo weights MORE in the ring than Carl Froch ever did.

For what it's worth, Froch rarely came in over 175lbs on fight night.

It's not the difference in weight.....it's the difference in class that will decide the fight...if Canelo even does man up an face GGG.

i think canelo would be 180+ if the fight is at mw

khan said he was 161-162 and canelo easily looked like 175+. his neck, torso, arms were giant in comparison

He'd probably be the same as he has been. He'll just be cutting less weight.

Golovkin usually comes in at 170 on fight night and he has only come in heavier than that twice and over 171 once (recorded weights that I'm aware of that is)

Canelo's ring weights for his last 3 fights haven't been announced so maybe he has got something to hide, maybe not. But he was at least 170 for all 3 of his previous fights at 154 prior to then so I reckon he probably weighed between the 171-175 range for them.

    (2012)

    Canelo 167 - Mosley 164

    Canelo 164 - Josesito 165

    (2013)

    Canelo 172 - Trout 171

    (2014)

    Canelo 171 - Lara 166

Canelo 174 - Angulo 170 - some sources say it was Canelo who weighed 170 and Angulo who was 174. Portly Dan and Kevin Iole both tweeted Canelo was 174 and Alfredo was 170.

    Kevin Iole ?

Canelo weighs 174 in the ring. Angulo is 170

    (2015)

Canelo was obviously at least 170 for Kirkland and Cotto, too.

    (2012)

    Golovkin 168 - Proksa 166

    (2013)

    Golovkin 170 - Macklin 170

Golovkin 167 - Rosado ? Not sure how much Rosado weighed but he was 175 for Quillin

    (2014)

    Golovkin 173 - Rubio 181

    (2015)

    Golovkin 170 - Monroe 172

    Golovkin 170 - Lemieux 175

    (2016)

    Golovkin 171 - Wade 175

Do you actually believe any of these fight night weights?

GGG is clearly much bigger than Canelo

Canelo 170-175, Golovkin his usual 172ish. I think Canelo rehydrates to a pretty average weight for middle weights. I don't think weight will play much of a factor.
