Does GGG remind you of a middleweight Kostya Tszyu in the sense that both have good to average hand and foot speed but despite of this they also have solid boxing fundamentals, they tend to walk their opponents down gradually in a cool and calculated manner, both have obvious POWER and in addition to this they also hail from former soviet union states......:think
Kostya is miles better than Golovkin, the only similarity is their Asian connection. Kostya was an assassin, Golovkin is a bouncer in comparison.
the way they dominate the centre of the ring and force there oppenents to the outside is it , other than that cant really compare golovkin and kostya at all, both have different tecqniques, both have good power and a solid right hand .. they were both exceptional amatuers, but thats about it
People need to go back to watching Tszyu's earlier fights and not what he was towards the end. Even Judah thought Tszyu was not the same fighter as he once was when he was younger.
Tszyu was the better boxer, he had swag in the ring back as an amateur. His style wasnt so robotic. He was wayyy more athletically gifted and p4p he hit harder. While many say Zab judah has a glass jaw, this guy has not really been stopped a lot. He has only been stopped by Tszyu and Cotto, and he could have continued against cotto. But Tszyu with one right hand knocked him down twice.
Kosta career is a mystery. He fought an old zombie Chavez. Hurtado was his best win. The rest of them, well, have proved themselves. Judah - lost to all the best fighters he faced Mitchell - who was good but not an exceptional boxer and lost to all the best fighters he faced Calvin Grove - Fed on no hopers And you could go on He was just matched well. His style brings fans in. A fun action packed style. In the eighties he gets koed by many, many fighters. He is was a very good boxer, but not an elite boxer like a Sugar Ray Leonard, Thomas Hearns, Roberto Duran, ....etc... Mayweather would beat him any time in his career easily. It makes no difference with the HOF.
