Did you just say you know Golovkin felt Canelos power because you saw him blink? I just blinked about 5 times while writing this, guess how many punches to the face i just took.

Why would he lie about Canelo's power then admit to him being the most skilfull boxer he's ever fought?

Canelo isn't a concussive puncher. He's a hard, snappy combo puncher with textbook technique.

He walked through Canelo's planted, loaded up pivoted right hand on the button. You could see the fear in Canelo's eyes after it as he realised he is fighting a man who has the best chin he has ever fought.

Jacobs caught him harder, in fact Kell Brook did with uppercuts too.

Canelo hit him with something hard enough to get his attention and keep him from just barging in and throwing bombs. Arguably the hardest shot landed was Canelo's overhand right.

This is all hype and head games. It is fun. The casuals love it. But it isn't real.

No different than Clen saying that Golovkin's power isn't anything special and then rating it a 9/10.

All for the promotion.. they both felt each others power.. At least enough to show each other so much respect in the ring..

"Roided punch"? Are you aware that Canelo was confirmed clean for the first fight due to his participation in VADA's testing program?

That shot in the 9th?? Yeah, that was a great clean shot, right on the chin. How long did that stop Golovkin’s forward march, anyway? 0.1 second? 0.18 second?

Later he does go on to say Canelo is the best opponent of his career. While not the hardest puncher, he is the smartest and best boxer, which is why this match up is so interesting for him.

Of course, that part of the press conference isn’t going to generate any buzz or headlines.

GGG is trying to mess with Canelo’s head. He’s basically taunting Canelo in public and get him pissed off in the ring. If Canelo over-commit to punches, he’s going to leave himself open.

I don’t believe one bit that GGG didn’t respect Canelo’s power. He absolutely does. This is gamesmanship to get Canelo to open a bit more and give GGG more opportunties to land that KO punch.

I agree. Canelo and Golovkin, to me at least, are exceptional fighters/boxers and both are very sharp and accurate punchers so I wager a weekly check that they both hurt each-other multiple times throughout the match.

I saw GGG continuously have to chase a roided Canelo all over the ring while not even flinching at roid boys Sunday punch that he threw from the other side of the arena.
