GGG is ageing, time catches up with everyone in boxing. End of the day, Golovkin probably has only one real hard fight left in him. May as well use that in a contest which is potentially the biggest and most lucrative fight in boxing. He has earned it.

I disagree about earning it. Jacobs was really the only dangerous fight GGG has taken prior to Canelo. Before that he fought a lot of journeymen
since 2014 when he won his first world title he has not been avoided, he has good resume uin that time. - so there is no way he can have built that if he was avoided. before 2015 he wasnt avoided at all - he wasnt getting fights then since he wasnt relevant and did not deserve them... noone was avoiding someone irrelevant.
It a business decision. A rematch with that pos Alvarez is more lucrative then any other match up but here's the thing. You got robbed the in the first fight, then accused CA of juicing. And then said the commission knows it. Plus the first fight wasn't exactly spectacular either. GGG will cash out. But don't be shocked if you seem more drama with the rematch. Robbery, Steroid allegations etc. But then again, media loves that stuff so...
