Just move on from the Canelo fiasco... In reality.. And I could care less about either boxer.. The only thing that sucks is how nutthuggers like Isal are throwing GGG under the bus.. While I agree that GGG's resume may not be something to be an awe about.. At least he has always dominated..The next fight is a stay busy fight.. Canelo on the other hand.. Lets see... Arguably lost to Lara, Got schooled by Mayweather.. Almost lost to Trout and some people had Trout winning... Almost lost to Cotto.. Struggled to beat him... Could not KO human punching bag Chavez Jr... Ohh and do I even have to take a Vote on who we think won GGG Canelo 1?? Plus he has fought smaller guys a bumch of times.. What the kind of a double standard is that?? Khan?? Lopez?? Fk him.. Come on.. Big Drmaaaaaaaa shoooowwww lolol! And now hes being labeled as Cheat and got caught using PEDs... yeah.. Just give it up.. Fk Canelo he should just retire and enjoyed the money hes made.. Maybe go hang out with Margarito and the #taintedteam
At worst, he had close but convincing wins against both. Both were in their primes and he was ~35 for both. You really think he wouldn’t have DESTROYED them if he was their age?
I tend to appreciate fighters who take risks over fighters who avoid risks. I used to root for GGG. The Rubio fight was the last fight I rooted for him. He got so much hype right before and immediately after that fight, but he never stepped up while other fighters were stepping up. Look, its just not GGG, I'm starting to feel the same way about Mikey Garcia. I really appreciate the ability both fighters bring, but I do not respect the easy roads they prefer to take.
Canelo has had very close fights against Lara, Trout, and GGG. I can respect anyone's opinion who had it for either fighter. Boxing is subjective a lot of the time. I can argue why Canelo beat all three imo, as I'm sure people can argue why he lost.
I've seen GGG fight through the years, and he is a lot more cautious now. A few years ago he probably opens up more and gets sparked. GGG also turned pro at 24, much later than most fighters, and he was getting hit a lot by has beens and nobodies. I thought Canelo won 7-5. I gave him rounds 1-3, I believe it was round 6 and 10-12. Against Jacobs I can see arguments either way. Over all, both were close fights and I can't argue much if anyone thought GGG won them.
