answer me this, whos the a side in wilder vs povetkin? also cotto holds a title in ggg's divisiion and is his mandatory, if he dropped the belt ggg would leave him alone
I sincerely doubt that. Golovkin and his team have already established for years that they're happy to call out smaller guys with names.
Two or more fights with likes of Smith, and Ward will still not be able to draw sh!t outside of Oakland.
That's an interesting situation. Povetkin is the bigger draw, but Wilder is the champ and has the upper hand in the event of a purse pid. Mayweather and Alvarez don't hold a MW title, Golovkin and his team still push for those fights. I don't blame anyone for wanting the big money fights. However, the same reasons those guys could turn him down are the same reasons his team has said they have no interest in guys like Ward. This sport is all about money. Guys aren't going to take fights if risk/reward ratio isn't in order. Golovkin is no different.
how would wilder have the upper hand in purse bids? alvarez is a middleweight and fights at middleweight his not smaller his fair game . Mayweather has been called out by ward, hopkins etc everyone calls him out ffs. and at least ggg said he would go down to 154 where he is the champion. everyone calls him out for a payday ward has turned down the ggg fight, ggg said yes to the fight so i dont know where this ducking is coming from
Golovkin and his team were calling out Alvarez well before his Caneloweight shenanigans started after the Mayweather fight.
He gets 75% of the purse, that's how. Alvarez is not a MW. Fighting 1 pound above the limit in non title fights does not put you in the next weight class. And not saying people don't. But you're proving my point, all of these guys are looking for a payday. They are not going to mess up any chances at a big payday for fights that don't make sense. Golovkin's team has gone out of their way to pursue guys like Mayweather, Alvarez, Cotto and Froch because they all represent big paydays. Ward would be a good payday, but not a big enough payday considering Golovkin would be a clear underdog. Ward hasn't turned down anything. Nothing has even been offered to him. And I never mentioned anything about anyone ducking. However, it's pretty obvious that Golovkin's side has no interest in fighting Ward. Even the promoter nixed the idea of the fight.
where did they do that? Any links? and he was a young 154 pounder whos big for the weight who was going to be in there division soon, i dont see the problem
yes but i beleive wilder will dump his title once the russians win purse bids, his not going to moscow actually anything above 154 is middleweight, alvarez has been fighting at middleweight for quiet some time hbo offered the fight to both ward and ggg, ward said no im not ready, ggg said yes
