three times????:rofl y'all ggg fans kill me. you sure it wasn't 4 or 5? or is that next week's story. lara went 12 with canelo and outboxed canelo handlily....canelo never dropped him and barely landed cleanly on lara. if lara could do that to canelo, he'll outbox ggg even easier.
It would be a good test for Gennady. he'd be favored, and rightfully so, but he'd be taking on the most technically sound fighter he's seen up to this point in his professional career who also was a standout as an amateur. The problem with Lara is he goes on his bicycle a little too much and has a tendency to slide off of the ropes when he's evading the opposition. Those instances could spell trouble if Gennady is able to hunt him down and connect on him with a flush shot. Still, it would be a very interesting fight to watch. I commend Erislandy, for a guy that has less than 25 pro fights, he really does take on all comers. I personally don't find his style to be boring whatsoever, he's an extremely talented pure boxer.
That opinion would be fine if Ggg was able to get the best fights at 160 lbs but Lara > Monroe Jr, Stevens, Adama, Proska, Ishida and would arguably be Ggg best win.
You make the Canelo vs Lara fight sound a wide fight for Lara, when in the majorities opinion it was a close could of went either way type fight. Unless you don't score body shots?
I was more talking about his recent PBC opportunity as his chance to shine. Take care of Rodriguez in a more impressive fashion as the "Middleweight champion" and use that as a chance to make a statement...instead he went 12 ****ing rounds with Delvin ****ing Rodriguez!
lara won't ko ggg...but this is boxing...he doesn't have to. he'll just beat ggg up bad. outclass him. expose him. make him miss and pay all night long. ggg struggled with a secondr-rate bum named willie monroe. lara will tax that ggg a88.
I'll take it, You know what, if Lara wins, I'll go permanantly, if GGG wins, you only have to go away for a week. Deal?
I wonder how keen HBO is on welcoming Lara back to their broadcast? They seem to be drifting away from defensive minded boxers and focusing more on action fighters.
