I think JCC Jr will knock Vera out in the rematch. He knows he has big money fights on the horizon and will take care of business in the rematch.

I'm not a JCC Jr fan but he's a tough guy who won't be a walk in the park for GGG. IMO he would be the best fighter GGG ever fought.:good

:yikes Just due to size and toughness?

Macklin is way more skilled than Chavez, as were Proksa, Stevens, Rosado, Ishida, Ouma (who is no less tough even though he is smaller than Chavez...)

Best all-around fighter? I just can't see calling him that. Physically biggest, sure, but that's it...and that isn't the same as saying best. He does literally nothing better in the ring than any of the names above.

He would beat everyone on GGG's resume. JCC Jr problem is his work ethic and his sense of entitlement. When he's focused like against Andy Lee, for example, he can be a devastating body puncher with an iron chin and will. He's not the most skilled but due to his size chin and ability to go to the body he can be a handful for anyone at 160.

I agree he probably is the h2h most dangerous with his combination of size & physicality, durability and willingness to absorb punishment, and having a fair amount of dig (again owing mostly to being a natural LHW/CW beating up on smaller men) esp. as you say downstairs - though a chip off the old block he ain't; he probably isn't top fifteen among Mexican body punchers, but you can probably cite that as being a stronger point in his game - but, unless we are to assume that Golovkin would be dumb enough to wade in and play Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots with Chavez, there is no reason to assume that his size, chin, and power will even come into play. What if Golovkin just straight outboxes him, easily & safely without taking unnecessary chances or looking to force a KO? Basically what Martinez did without breaking a sweat, minus the fumble just before the end zone...which can be chalked up to Martinez's age. Chavez is easy to outbox. Molina did it, twice. Vanda did it, once. Zbik did it. Lee did it through five rounds. Martinez did it for eleven. Hell even Vera did it with relatively little world class skill himself using just his crazy ass work rate.

Slugging it out with Chavez would be a dangerous test for Golovkin, that is true - but why assume Golovkin will slug with him?

If he goes in looking to outbox him, that job is easily doable and will tell us nothing we don't already know about either man. (that Golovkin can box as well as punch hard, and that Chavez is no master technician in there).

If they stand in center ring and trade and Golovkin is last man standing, then yeah, maybe we can say that is his most impressive accomplishment to date. If he just goes in and makes it a routine boxing match and boxes circles around Chavez, which is probably what is going to happen - how exactly is that better than destroying the never-before-destroyed Macklin? Kayoing the never-before-kayoed Ishida, Proksa, Simon, or the once-stopped Ouma and Rosado?

I'd pay to see GGG vs Chavez jr. A truthful end to a sad chapter in boxing.

Ward will no doubt throw a tantrum and HBO will cave in and give him the PPV with Chavez Jr. The way Ward currently gets overpaid and the bland, colour commentary he does you would think he negotiates with a gun and ski mask. The only fighter(s) I can recall who have stolen more from HBO are RJJ and Mayweather.

    Answer the question, Genius.

How many PPVs has TOMATOdy GolovCAN sold?

    Erislandy Lara

GolovCAN's handlers want *nothing* to do with him...

More like Laras handlers want no part of actually making the fight. Lara can say whatever he wants on Twitter, means jack unless his handlers actually want to make a fight. Which, apparently they dont.

Don't worry if the fight actually happens, and Triple G wins, we'll being seeing this from the same crazy haters who were picking Chavez to win by knockout.

I dont know what Golovkin personally has said, but I do know that if GBP can get HBO to approve the bout it will happen. Lara just stirring things on Twitter, hoping outside interest will come and save his career. Haymon sees Lara about the same as Arum sees Rigo.

And by save his career I mean business wise. He is going to be another titleist fighting on undercard twice a year like KidC unless public demand goes way up and he knows it.
