Dirrell beat Golovkin by a solitary point in a USA vs Kazakhstan duel that took place on US soil. Golovkin probably needed to knock him cold to get his hand raised that night, which is exactly what would've happened to the glass-jawed Dirrell had they not been wearing head gear and big gloves.

    2003-05-17 71kg Andre Dirrell USA L 15:14 Tunica, USA dual USA-KZK dual USA-KZK

Hey guys, btw did you see they fight tonight? A fat, snail slow and woefully out of condition blown up MW Golovkin leftover who only averaged about 2 punches per round just lasted the distance against Dirrell's harder punching brother Anthony Dirrell. Anthony literally hit him with everything bar the kitchen sink for round after round but he couldn't even wipe the smile off his face, let alone hurt, wobble, floor, or stop him. :rofl

Sturm then subsequently 'drew' with Murray, lost to Geale, lost to Sam Soliman, lost to Chudinov ...

We all know the score with Sturm post Macklin.

Ward's last fight was at 172, he isn't about to move down to 160. But if he does, he'll be floored on multiple occasions.

Also baby Dirrell beat Rubio clearly over the 12, there's still a case to be made Rubio took a dive against Golovkin which derails the win just like any suspicious looking KD.

Even if he did, he took a dive because he knew he was in over his head, that wasn't the case against Dirrell and that was a worse version of Rubio.

Or more than likely he got extra dollar for taking a dive so early. Let's be real here this is Boxing, there are no angels.

Theres suspicion he gave up, not that he premeditated a loss. Big difference.

    Stop overreaching.

I don't not rate Golovkin, I simply don't have any evidence to rate him.

I come from the UK, and everyone including ESPN thought David Price was the next big thing because he was knocking everyone out.

I was circumspect because he had not faced a live opponent. Sadly I was right.

I am circumspect with Golovkin as his reputation is founded on the same flimsy foundations of knocking out nobodies and Has Beens.

Lemiuex is the first dangerous opponent he has genuinely faced.

We'll know a lot more after this. My worry is Golovkin has the Price-esque smoke blown up him that he can KO anyone and take anyone's punches.

Lemiuex needs to only land 10% of the punches Monroe or Murray did to send Gennady to the floor. Hard .

Could be but I doubt that, none of his other opponents took a dive and I don't see why they'd need to bribe Rubio in particular, he wasn't a threat to Golovkin in any way.

It was a 10 round fight dummy. Did you even watch it? :beat :beat
