No I agree remove the drama and you wouldn’t scream robbery like some we’ve seen, like I said these close fights usually come down to home advantage though why in boxing we should all accept it as ok is beyond me.

    "Home advantage"? Really?

Gennady has no one to blame for this loss. He asked Canelo for "Mexican style" so he could knock him out, Canelo obliged, and in return GGG spent most of the fight backtracking.

Everyone was making excuses for the first fight saying that GGG just started a little late--around the fourth round--- but would simply improve on that in the rematch and he would stop Canelo.

He didn't wake up till around the 8th round in the rematch--- make up your own reasons why-- but instead of facing the truth some of you will take the easy way out and blame this on home cooking, corruption or whatever other excuse you can come up with. smh

Canelo is from Mexico, Vegas was supposedly a neutral venue. So much for that...

Huge Canelo fan here, but what happened to Canelo's boxing skills in the rematch? How come he got malleted and was missing wildly? Man, I love Defence so much that Golovkin should have gotten extra credit for making Canelo look like a fly catcher, just how all us Canelo ball-danglers gave Canelo extra credit for making GGG miss in the first fight.

Also, as a huge Canelo fan, I have to admit that the punches that Canelo landed to the body were ineffective and not as good as all the punches to Canelo's face that Golovkin landed.

    LOL

You want to compare post fight mug shots to see who landed the better face shots?

Different skin types react differently. They both looked banged up.

Canelo was the guy that was staggered :deal: ;)

He was buzzed, GGG staggered with a body punch.

Either way, one punch doesn't win you a fight. Measuring jabs don't win you jabs.

Getting your face beat to a pulp and body organs rearranged don't win you a fight.

Canelo had no idea that Golovkin was going to go into a defensive shell on the backfoot so dealt with the unexpected by adapting his gameplan on the fly. Even a retreating Gennady still took a pasting from a Canelo that was basically winging it. :touched:

Nobody is making excuses, GGG clearly won the 2nd fight 8-4, if the sport is corrupt there isn't much you can do.

I see some absolute mess being spewed up here.
GGG hurt in the 2nd fight???? Where was he ever hurt? All I saw was Canelo on the verge of being KOed in the 10th.
GGG was landing jabs at will, controlling distance, doing what he wanted, setting up traps for Canelo.
Canelo landed some good work to the body but it did nothing to GGG
GGG controlled the whole fight, won 8-9 round and whopped Canelo again and I will forever consider GGG as an ATG, as it has been said many times, GGG got robbed in his three biggest fights, 2x vs Canelo and Olympics, #40-0

Again, your opinion is not a fact. Plenty of people had Canelo winning and most importantly the judges scored it correctly.

You forgot to mention, Canelo also controlled the tempo of the fight.
