    Wlad had 3 losses before he was regarded as a dominant champ, although he'd been a titlist before two of them.

    Ezzard Charles had 5 losses before the had a nice stretch as HW champ.

    Dennis Andries. 65 fights, 14 losses. Epic trilogy against Aussie Jeff Harding. Got knocked from pillar to post by the Hitman Tommy Hearns. Defeated our own Tony Sibson in his final bid at a world title. Fought some top names at Cruiserweight at the tail end of his career like Terry Dunstan and Johnny Nelson. Still going strong and competing at top level in his early 40's. Three time WBC light heavyweight champion and one seriously tough hombre.

    Managed to run up 2 draws and 6 losses before winning a world title, often while challenging for the BBB of C belt.

    Rungvinsai started 1-3-1 :grazy::roto2lol:

    And this guy is a freaking beast, one of the best. Making your debut vs yaegashi is not a very good choice, and it helps to start with a record like that.

    Whatever, he's a hell of a fighter now. I would have quitted boxing had I started with this record.

    DOh thanks a lot,so I’m scrolling down thinking can’t believe nobody mentioned Groves as he’s always springs to mind with me of a guy who seemed to be forever rebuilding which made it all the more sweeter when it came as the showed that he was a quality fighter that lost to some decent boxers.
    Anyway you beat me too it,just a good job I read through the comments before posting my inspired pick lol.

    Great pick,for a time this guy was one of my fav boxers as he suffered a bad attack chasing off two burglars and if anything became such a better fighter on the back of it.

    Has anyone mentioned Shawn Porter?actually not sure he would count as he did have the IBF strap I think before Brook took it off him,after that lost to Thurman and his career was on shaky ground in terms of mixing it up at the top but has since gotten the WBC belt in a fight with Garcia.

    Either they late developers over there or the standard must be pretty high for those starting out,in any case I’ve never had a problem with a few of these losses as it can actually embolden them into taking on anyone as appose to protecting that’s zero at all costs.
