:yep:nut:patsch both were average fighters who were seriously flawed. Man its easy to remember the highlights of retired fighters and forget their body of work over there careers.

there isnt one good heavyweight fighter today... they're all benefiting from a really bad era in that weight class.. other than the kiltschkos brothers none of this fighters today could compete with fighters from the 90s and 80s,, golota, bowe, tyson, holyfield, lewis, tua.. all those fightes would dominate today because there's nobody else in the divisiion worth a damn

    :hat

The only reason some are claiming that heavyweight division is not good is because the Klitschkos are champions, it's called "sour grapes".

You compare the PRIME versions of the best fighters of twenty years to the current HWs? In this comparison, the modern guys cannot win.

The "prime" of a fighter is the streak of best wins during his peak fighting time. If you cherrypick the primes of the best ten HOF fighters of two decades, and compare them to any division, the current division appears to be full of bums. Including HW.

Have you ever heard that Mike Tyson was a bum? When he fought Lewis in 2002, he was a tomato can waiting to be opened. And he achieved ATG status against weaker opposition than the current HW division has to offer. Still, Tyson was one of the best, and a prime Tyson would be VERY difficult to beat for any boxer of any era.

boxing always goes through a spell like that. we don't how lucky we are to witness the 90's, that was one of the strongest heavyweight era's of all time.

There are a few heavyweights in the top today who would have done good or excellent in ANY era. I agree that the talentpool isn't that big nowadays, but if you look at the rankings today and compare those to other era's there is only one conclusion why... There are no Americans worth mentioning (maybe with the exception of Chambers) in it!
And that's the main reason why this division is called weak, not because the champions are, not because the best contenders are, it's because there are not many of them and they are all from outside the US!

Believe me, if the K brothers where Americans they were called great... now they're limited fighters who are lucky there are only bums in the HW division.
While I can't see any earlier champion who wouldn't have huge task to dispose of the brothers, especially Vitali who has a iron chin in opposite to his brother Wlad.
