As I've mentioned earlier, I like the way this lad is doing things... slowly, with style and keeping well out of the local goldfish bowl. Funny how our tabloid press don't seem too interested; but probably a matter of time before he climbs the rankings and the term "Braveheart" is slotted between his names. Cynical you bet; but I'm seriously chuffed for this guy.

 

Craig was originally slotted in to fight on the last Hatton undercard but his opponent pulled out. I think Golden Boy want him to fight in Britain at some point. Oscar once told him he`d try to get him a fight in Scotland so that they could all go to St, Andrews to play golf!
Craig will be back in Edinburgh from Wednesday for a while but there is a rumour that he is wanted back in California for a fight in early August.
He has also asked his manager about the possibility of a place on the Khan undercard in September(?) in England. That might fit in with all the Khan / Roach stuff going on at the moment.

 

By the way, he is "Scottish" Craig Mcewan in the ring. He boxed in his kilt at the MGM Grand the night before Mayweather v Hatton. Think it was his old Commonwealth Games kilt, "Bank of Scotland" tartan!

Nae problem and thanks for the effort. If anyone else is able to provide a link please feel free to drop us a message. I found the Jim Watt comment strange but wonder if he's detecting that this boy is good - I mean would they allow the likes of Khan to change styles? (Probably a bad comparison 'cos we all know a change of style is required if he's to make FW as much as possible and get his hands on an alphabet belt. That's not me having a pop incidentally; just telling it like I see it. I seriously wonder if Freddie R is being brought in because it's now accepted that once the caravan goes state side it could all end in tears. Perm one from gawd knows how many in that division to see who could put this kid on his arse!)

Out of interest, how did the chance to move to Roache's gym come about? Does anybody know - some of the Edinburgh guys? I've said it before, but what a f****** experience for any kid.
