Im at an amateur n ive just sparred my mate and hes trainin at Bob Shannons gym.. I outboxed him and im shorter with shorter reach. I asked him whether they teach him to fight tall n he looked at me like i asked him somethin mad. What im sayin is... is there a good gym other than this one cos someone of 6ft 1 with a looong reach weighin 11stone should be being taught to jab and box at range not get inside and brawl! Any suggestions for good gyms lads will be much appreciated?
Hes fighting unlicensed but i just think that gym is wrong for him(im no expert but still im entitled to my opinion) From Stockport but will travel to a gym

I dont think that Gallaghers or Arnies will be the place for him then mate. He should try Fox's gym (Arnies gyn by night) although I'm unaware whether its for adults or kids. Then you have Collyhurst or Northside ABC's. Your best bet mate is to have a look on the ABAE website using their clubfinder thing or even better just send Arnie a PM on here. He's always happy to help people out and has far more knowledge on the better gyms around the area than anyone else on here :good Good luck to him pal :good
