Against Abraham in the first fight? If you mean by that then he has to be way weight drain going in the Pavlik fight.

Too be fair he did look bad in the Pavlik fight but that is not an excuse. A fighter has to take care of himself at all times. But I remember in the first round i believe even Larry merchant noticed that Miranda appeared to be pushing his punches and larry also noted they didn't have the same pop to them they usually do sitting from ringside.

Taylor was tailor made for KP. There is good reason why DiBella kept Taylor away from any 160 lb fighter with a punch for so long. Truth is, Hopkins exsposed Taylor and Pavlik was able to capitalize.

Yeah, Miranda tore through 160 - but he's only got one gear. Miranda is just a brawler with no boxing skills to speak of. Pavlik won that fight by simply using the jab and having a good chin.

Zuniga = rugged guy but nothing special.

Yes, Pavlik is one dimesional. We ALL saw that when he failed to win a single round against a 44 year old man...

In the second fight was at 166 pounds lol. Whats this has to do at 160 pounds? If memory serve me right wasn't Miranda fail to make weight on his first try in the weigh in for the Pavlik fight?

Yes Miranda Struggled with the weight. but again that is Miranda's fault and part of him as a fighter.

No excuses period. Popkins is fourty ****ing four. If he didn't have any then I don't want to hear about it from a young man in his twentys.

Just b/c Hopkins beat the snot out of him, doesn't make him sick.

My point is that if you count Miranda as weight-drained against Pavlik, then his whole career has been weight-drained!

I don't count nothing but the loss. If Miranda can't control his weight that is an attirbute to him as a fighter.

I was just noting what Larry said.

Clearly Pav is a better fighter.

Yeah, that makes so much sense. Hopkins exposed Taylor by losing to him, and Wright and Spinks obviously exposed him too (and still didn't win?). And all Pavlik had to do was follow Hopkins' game plan 'cos Pavlik and Hopkins are exactly alike. :patsch

Miranda was KOing everyone in his way, and would have been the champ if the German judges hadn't jobbed him. He was being hailed as the next Marvin Hagler. Boo's totally right when he says people sent Pavlik in there thinking he was going to get run over, just to make Miranda look good. No-one took him seriously when he said he would out-gun Miranda, said he had a dubious chin etc. He wore him down and knocked him the **** out.

So I guess Trinidad was one-dimensional too? Gimme a ****ing break.

Miranda has been "weight drained" for all of his big fights. People say he looked sloppy and drained against Pavlik. He fights that way. Even when he was fighting that chump in London at LHW, he looked appalling.

Ok then. Fantasy figures, funny pipe dream, just read the article from boxing scene below.

    http://www.***********.com/?m=show&id=21335

I said 7 million and it seems I was very close to accurate:

HBO offered 3.75 mil. for the fight.
Top Rank expects the gate to be at least 1.8 million.
International TV should generate about 0,5 mil.
That's already 6.05 million just on basic preliminary talks, not counting any money from sponsors, which may very well be enough to surpass the 7mil figure.

I still think the 2,5 mill Goossen asked is only fair, about 35% of the purse.

PW will make the 1.75 mil. he is being offered, in the Dzindziruk fight, so it makes no sense for him to take this fight at this price, better just leave it for later when he will have a better condition to negotiate, and let the public interest for this bout to naturaly build everywhere.
