Hopkins exposed the fact that Taylor doesn't like to get hit.

There were already rumblings in the boxing commumity to this end even before the Hopkins fight. If you look @ Taylor's opponents before Pavlik you would be HARD pressed to find a single legitimate puncher @ 160lbs among them.

Fact is, Taylor was a protected fighter up until he ran, face first, into Pavlik's right hand...

Taylor had been heading down hill since the Hopkins fights. Hopkins ruined Taylor, IMHO.

When was the last time Taylor KO'ed someone? Not since before the Hopkins fights, IIRC.

Froch was giving Taylor the business in the second half of their fight.

    Please, save the excuses.

And you can't apologize away Pavlik's shutout loss by saying Hopkins is a bad matchup for Pavlik. Hopkins is a bad matchup for anyone. It just so happens that Pavlik is one dimesional.

Hell, even Trinidad looked better against a ten year younger Hopkins...

Of Taylor's 3 losses, one is by decision to the guy who had just BRUTALLY KO'ed him.

    What does that tell you?

As much as I pulled for Taylor over Froch, I can see people having the fight closer. Taylor threw the 'cleaner' punches but Froch was throwing the 'effective' punches.

I think I had Taylor 3 or 4 rounds up going into 12. But regardless of the scoring: Taylor threw a handful of punches a round after round 8, and was still making Carl look silly. It was either laziness or poor stamina that cost Taylor that night. He just wasn't doing enough!

Everytime I mention Kelly's decision win over JT people go into denial. The fact is Kelly did something an All Time Great, and a sure fire hall of fame inductee, FAILED to do. That is a fact. It is not an opinion, nor is it debatable. Some folks don't like it because it means they would have to completely re-think and change their position.

Sorry lads, when the **** did anyone talk about Pavlik being a HoFer?

Did you drop out before fourth grade?

    READ:

He's talking about this guy called Bernard Hopkins. Heard of him? Didn't think so.

Boy you need to go back to kindergarten and learn to read. I didn't say Winky was exactly like him. I said he can do the same things Bernard did. Good job you just owned yourself with your first sentence.

I think your mistaking Pavlik for Winky because Pavlik is the only guy I see without great handspeed and great movement. His movement is a ok, but he's so slow when it comes to hand speed. He made Bernard Hopkins look like Floyd Mayweather Jr in their fight. Imagine what Winky(whose way faster than Bernard) is gonna look like?

What makes you so certain that Kelly will even get to Winky? If Shane Mosley one of the fastest fighters in this era couldn't get to Winky. Than I doubt slow mo Pavlik will.

You obviously have a very serious problem with reading comprehension. Pavlik scored a UD over Taylor. Hopkins, an all time great, and Winky, a sure fire hall of fame member, did not. Read the post agan, and if you can read at at least a 3rd grade level, you'll catch on.
