Impossible to pick one stand out performance from a plethora of great performances. Hearns/Duran - Nobody ever did that to Duran before or after. Frazier/Ali 1 - Joe's performance was just breathtaking the pace and intensity he fought at was just incredible. Pac/Barrera 1 - Just shocking to see Barrera completely dominated like that. Benn/McClelland - Benn was a big underdog for a reason, never have I seen a fighter show so much heart and sheer will to win. Mayweather/Corrales - Mayweather simply fought a perfect fight and piece by piece dissected Corrales and took him apart. Foreman/Frazier 1 - Just incredible to see Big George brutalise the champion like that and made it look easy.
Benitez-Cervantes. Virtually unknown 17yo outpoints a ATG at the weight. Braxton-Saad 1 Saad was approaching near mythical status as a unbeatable champ, Dwight whats his name..... Monzon-Benvenuti 1 Easy to look back and say " what Monzon " but at the time Nino was seen as a easy winner, " Monzon who are you " was the headline. Not your go to fighters/fights but , I am comfortably backing my choices, tried to steer clear of the obvious. stay safe guys.
This is a list of what's likely my favourite filmed performances. For varying reasons, but they're all worth watching. I feel Joe Louis ko over Schmelling isnt brought up enough in this regard. Especially compared to the importance of that fight. Arguably thr biggest fight in boxing history.
