No , no Jeff Lacey left hook is defiantly real it was a lot better when he was with Roger Bloodworth . Hopefully his reunion with blood worth will bring back the old Lacey ..
I'm not saying it's weak, but it hardly should be considered a top notch hook, he pushes it, instead of really letting it rip fluidly. Bloodworth may help him a bit, but I cant see anyone thinking his hook anything to write home about.
Tito Trinidad is my no1 left hook of all time! Did anyone watch Skipper "Saigon" Kelp when he was active? He had a deadly left hook!
Watch these fights for great left hooks Foster-Quarry Foster-Tiger Curry-McCory McCallum-Curry Tua-Izon Tua-Wilson Tua-Ruiz Gatti-Rodriguez Robinson-Fullmer 2 Mayweather-Corrales Corrales-Castillo (both)
Yeah, I remember being shocked watching Curry lose like that against McCallum. That was a hell of a shot! Tua-Ruiz will always be on the boxing highlight reel.
hearns left hook is often underrated/overlooked when it comes to lefthook discussions, but it was a great weapon in his arsenal. especially when he threw it to the body. crisp, great torque and he often doubled it.
George Foreman's left hook to KO Adilson Rodriguez. Full extension with little effort and yet devestating.
I'll do it before Sweet shows up. It didn't have devastating one-shot power, but I've always loved the leverage Whitaker got on his left hook to the body.
