Good point. Jimmy Wilde is the consensus best flyweight for whatever reason. Judging what we know of his style and with the small footage we have of him, and knowing just how light he was, how would he match up over say, 15 rounds with a regular amount of clinching, versus Ricardo Lopez? The greatest in a division Wilde might well have made naturally.
I think Lopez could handle him although I think he gets dropped and busted up. Lopez its the next best thing to unbeatable against any non swarmer at that weight; super tall, great chin, flawless skills, excellent punch, decent speed. To beat Lopez you had to bulldoze him and i'm not sure Wilde had the chin for that. Yuh maybe, Chang possibly. And Flea no love for Jimmy Wilde. The guy won like 800 fights.
