He really didn't accomplish much except winning a
154 title over the obscure and now long forgotten Gilbert Dele. It was admirable he came back from that injury though.

Paz was hyped like hell in the mid 80s

I was glad when the blue collar like Greg Haugen beat him. Greg should have gotten the decision in their first fight but the Providence, RI home cooking was in the air.

Then at 140 Roger Mayweather and Hector Camacho, who was already slipping, easily handled him.

Then he jumped all the way to 154 and beat Dele who really wasn't very good

Jones destroyed him in a fight he didn't deserve to even get

A way past his best Herol Graham beat him

i dont even count the Duran fight because Roberto was like 45.

Not really IBHOF worthy, maybe deserves the NJ and RI hall of fames

Yep, I’ve never seen a head attack a pair of fists the way Paz did against Roy.

Mancini takes this in every sense. Greater and better.

X, I think there’s always going to be a tendency to slightly overrate a fighter like Mancini because he was a marketable fighter with an exciting style who crossed over into the mainstream.

He wasn’t a great, but he was very good. I think we saw his limits against a legit great like Arguello, though, even though he acquitted himself very well.
