1 .... Oscar was humiliated & embarrassed by Manny Pacquaio That was Karma at its finest 2 .... No way in hell did Taylor EVER legitimately beat Bernard neither did Calzaghe. Bernard offered to go to Wales for a rematch with Slappy . Would have been a great way of thanking his Welsh fans for their support. plus would end the controversy of fight 1 BUT instead Slappy took to the hills & "RETIRED" to a life supposedly rife with drug abuse, alcoholism etc. Hopkins >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Calzaghe
I dont class calzaghe as great either, but the fact hopkins point blank ducked him when agreeing to fight him years b4 they did.the fact that jones handled him,the likes of hagler and mccallum would with certainty in my eyes. I find it strange that people make out his greatness and point out wins after his peak, and the only wins of note that people will bring up in his peak,at his weight are, trinidad who was 3-3 above ww and odlh,a former super featherweight who was obviously beaten in his only ever fight at the weight by a so so fighter
Hopkins Never ducked Slappy Slappy ducked a rematch In Wales. Jones jr would never Hopkins a rematch. He talked big " 60/40 & I'll kick your ass " but never backed it up LOL You see where Fishnets & Pollo got it from
No point replying to this but hey ho.common knowledge that hopkins agreed to fight calzaghe closer to both of their primes.hopkins agreed a contract then coming to sign it doubled his demands,or in other words said no to the fight. But calzaghe ducked the rematch, when badicall hopkins was in a no lose.when he lost he was past his prime and not the fighter he once was, then he'd win and he was amazing again. Believe what u believe,no one can prove any different i just look past self promotion, braggartism etc and judge on merit. And on another note when drooling over what people achieve past a certain age,i'd class what tyson, ali, benitez etc did at an earlier age when not fully devolped and without a career at championship level and vast experience as more of an achievement
