Duran v Arguello almost happened at one point...what a war that might have been.

edit - Hamed was close to fighting Gatti at one point as well.

Trinidad vs Mosley - year 2000 i think that with mosley's strong shin and his willingness to trade, it would have brutal for mosley to absorb all those shots, i think mosley looses by accumulation of punishment. remember he has trouble with tall long guys like forrest.

    Kendall Holt vs torres 3

could you imagine Hamed vs darchynian?

Quarry/Foreman: These days Big George claims he intentionally avoided Quarry who was hell on big men.

Danny Lopez/Alexis Arguello at 126. Lopez won the WBC featherweight title about 1 month before Alexis vacated the WBA version over weight issues.

Duran/Arguello at 135: Arguello straight up blew it with the Fernandez fight, and then Duran moved to 147. Arguello/Fernandez II made it pretty clear that Alexis just flat ****ed up in the first fight.

    More recently:

People already mentioned a bunch of good ones. Nobody mentioned Pavlik/Wright. Pavlik called Winky out about 5 or 6 times. Winky wouldn't bite. I really wanted to see that fight in 2006-2007.

Ah - yeah! Forgot about that one.
I remember seeing this clip and loving it:

Man, that's funny - and I'd chop off a finger to see either of those fights happen.
Toney would've probably beaten them both, though.
