Yes, but there is no messing up his actual achievements.
One only needs to take a look at prime RJJ in his hey day, to notice what kind of beast he was.

Joe Louis and Sugar Ray Robinson "messed up" their legacies aswell, but history tend to treat kindly those who were once great.

In my book it's Hopkins because he's beaten not only HOF fighters but young, strong titlists as well. Setting a record isn't so bad either. He's lost a few times but in each of those losses he was in a very close fight. Pac comes a close second, followed by Floyd.

 

Yes, he`s a freak in that way, like Couture in MMA but the Mexicans were 3 weight world champions (Morales should be 4 but for bad judging vs Diaz for the LW title, I thought he edged Maidana too for the interim LWW title but **** it, it is what it is concerning that)

The Mexicans fought in tougher weight classes their entire careers, victories over each other at their absolute peak is a better win than anyone Hops beat IMPO.... Barrera also performed great vs a much fresher JMM but the decision was correct IMO, he also has the Naz victory & he won it easy from my view.... Morales has the pac victory who was still a great fighter when he lost to Morales even if he is better now.

Barrera lost to Jones twice but other than that both he & Morales were in a different class from everyone in their primes, the only men to beat the peak versions of EM & MAB are each other, every other fighter was put firmly in their place.
