Has such lingo been tossed around? I'm referring to the Slavic countries only, and there's been a great deal of solid heavyweight fighters from the Ukraine, Russia, and Poland. A minuscule amount from Croatia, Bulgaria, etc.

I think my Top 5 would be:
    1. Wlad Klitschko
    2. Vitali Klitschko
    3. Povetkin
    4. Golota
    5. Pulev

    What say you?

I'd get rid of Golota, maybe replace him with Adamek. George Chuvalo is Croatian, but fought out of Canada, I can't remember if he was born in Croata or Canada though.

    Wlad
    Vitali
    Povetkin
    Golota
    Chuvalo

If we allow CWs then a couple more names become eligible, Usyk, Lebedev etc.

Adamek at HW wasn't spectacular though. His best win was probably Arreola, and he had a couple of gifts.

Golota was hot and cold but had a much higher ceiling than Adamek, and was a more naturally dangerous man.

You could make an argument for both, I suppose.

I might also throw in Maskaev or Lyahovich. Both won world titles unlike Golota, even though they were glass chinned.

And I almost forgot Zeljko Mavrovic, only loss was to Lennox Lewis, and he took Lewis the distance.

    Jack Sharkey?

Below Wlad, but well in the mix.

    Vitali
    Wlad
    Povetkin
    Ibragimov
    Chagaev

Unless I miss my guess, Hrgovic will be on the list after he retires.

That's debatable..some language similarities but ethnicly theres no proof while Finns and Estonians have the same last names in many cases.

Many Poles are actually Germanic as are many Ukrainians....Latvians, Estonians etc...are Germanic descendants of Viking cultures

    Ability to do what, exactly?

Ability to be a footnote to the division while Wlad dominated it for as long as anyone not named Joe Louis was able to do?
