 I just wanted to appease the Klit fans. I don't really think he comes close, but I was just throwing names out

    Roy Jones Jr.

From MW to HW before losing. Beating Tarver(HOF), Ruiz(HOF), Griffin(HOF),Paz(HOF), Toney(ATG) and dozens of other contenders and ducking almost NO MAN.

    Finito Lopez

As a professional, he defended the WBC Strawweight Championship a record 21 times. He also won the WBA and WBO championship of the same weight class

Would you say holyfields reign at cruiser was better than Haye's ignoring what they both did at heavyweight?

Louis had more title defenses of the heavyweight title and defeated superior opposition. Several others had more title defenses, as well. And countless others, while racking up fewer defenses, beat far better fighters throughout their title reigns.

Where do we draw the line, and for what reason should be realistically call Lopez's reign the best ever? I'm just not seeing it.

    Finitos's rival's average record was 18 w 3 L (26 championship fights)

also he retired undefeated and he didn't sacrifice his health and now works as a boxing commentator (and he is really good at it too)

Also years passed in between some of Louis fights (remember that we are using the OP "rules")

You call out the other poster for putting Wladimir yet you throw in Tyson.

    Can you say, "******".................

Sure, Tyson's title run is better, but it's not by THAT THAT much. Not enough to scoff at Wladimir's if you're going to throw up Mike.
