De La Hoya @ 140: Could have (and should have) scheduled some unification bouts before moving up to 147. He really missed out on a very winnable legacy-making fight vs Tszyu, too. Tyson: Went off the rails by '89. Had he stayed on track and out of trouble and kept Kevin Rooney as his trainer, he would have been champ for several more years in my opinion, at the least. Bowe: Didn't have the conditioning or force of will to extend his prime. Also, he could have been much better defensively than he actually was, but he eschewed defense in favor of brawling in close quarters too frequently, often with his hands down. Mayweather: Could have easily put together a much better resume than what he actually has. For all of his prodigious defensive skills and accuracy, he did not make the most of his talents, or even try to really. Pacquiao @ 135: Had he decided to stay at lightweight a little longer, he could have easily done what his rival JMM has been up to since 2008. He would have easily smashed the likes of Katsidis, Diaz, and others en route to another lineal title and an improved resume.
Mayweather and Tyson, per sure, because they had the potential to be so much more... All things considered, they come, at the end, as a waste of talent
