Green urges Tarver to make a decision

If Green thinks the pressure of promoting at home is too much, why can't someone other than Green Machine promote the fight here (or at least co-promote it?

Greens just has his name on the promotion and gives interviews / press conferences like he would anyway. He would have people behind the scenes who organise everything for him. Just a lame excuse by Danny to save face. I would have thought he would like to try and reclaim his bogus title in front of his home Perth fans. They could talk it up like some form of heroic Rocky Balboa encounter. People of his mindset would lap it up like a dehydrated canine.

 

its not just his name francis he does a shitload with his promotions , he doesnt employ a huge amount of people. Its how he is able to make such large profits.

 

Green v Tarver II would be a walk in the park for Stiffy compared to getting Ty in the ring for his pro debut.

what a load of rubbish. as for why he dont get someone else to promote the fight here is bcus he would then be the employee, on employee wages. Why do you think they promote themselves. Most fighters who are under Top Rank etc will pay them 40% or more of profits.

It would be a dam tough game being self promoted. Its dog eat dog.

 

On page 4 you said green should give up the promotion because its too much hassle.
Now you spell out in detail why fighting on someone elses show is a terrible option.

When tarver came here he was self-promoted. He was paid a set price. He was contracted by Green Machine Boxing. DG wants to do the same but in reverse. AT promotes the fight in the US and pays DG a set amount and also Aussie PPV (which Tarver wont do).

Whereas if Green had a promoter here to promote the fight then that promoter would pay DG set amount, then AT set amount, and then make sure they take their share - which is where the problem comes in.

 

So you want tarver to promote a fight that doesnt sell in the usa and no network wants just so danny can get oz ppv?

Explain how that can happen. Guess what? It cant. Shaw knows it and has said as much. Tarver too.

Green lost the fight so he's not in the position to demand much at all. If he wants to make a few more $$$ out of this game he needs to rematch Tarver in Aus and win, or say no thanks to a rematch because he's now realised that cruiserweight ain't his division and he's dropping down to light-heavy.

Why can't someone like Barry Michael co-promote it with Green, with Barry doing it for a fixed fee and a guaranteed shot for Cameron against the winner?

 

If the said rematch clause nominated by GMP initially, and then agreed to between the parties, further noted and signed off in the contracts (Gary Shaw stating in interviews that it said Sydney), why is now Danny requesting that the rematch take place in the USA?

Tarver by that standing has no contractual obligation to promote the rematch, it's was GMP's clause requested, all Tarver did was agree to it, yet now it's been turned 180 degrees by Danny?

Danny don't want the fight and is simply putting on a front for the media and his fans, nothing more, nothing less.
