For your info, as was well published in the newspapers, Jones sparring got here two days after him and were held up in customs due to Saunders criminal record. Maybe its that 3 hour hold up our refrring to that costs rjwanker being at his prime??
I never said we have many class fighters at our gym. We basically have novices and we have some good fighters. Our trainer actually trained lenny until he moved on to the bigger pro stage. Anyway back to the point,it wasnt just the fact that rjj sparring partners were slightly delayed,if you read what i wrote i said he took green lightly and didnt prepare properly,maybe because he is an all time great he thought it would be a walk in the park,which is his fault,but if mundine and beyer beat green,then really rjj shouldnt have had any trouble.....if he took it a little more serious. Watch the rjj that shows up to the B.Hop fight,well prepared and wont get k.o in 122 seconds because he knows he can only go in the ring 100%.
Went to RJJ's sparring session and presser at Star City casino, and he was very switched-on and motivated to win the only title in the set that had eluded him, the cruiserweight title. FFS, the guy's the ultimate pro, and his cardio fitness had nothing to do with it. It wasn't like he got gassed in 2 minutes, he got caught and clobbered - simple as that.
Mate having an open sparring session at star city is hardly great preparation. For a world title fight he shouldve gone into a training camp situation for 3 mths like all good fighters,but because he destroyed lacy he got to confident and you could tell he didnt even warm out pre bout-something even green picked up on. Rjj just thought green was worse than he really is.
Green & RJJ both trained there, once each, and only as a promo for the bout. I only raised it because that's where I was able to observe RJJ first-hand. He would have prepared adequately over many sessions, and he got caught on the night. Simple as that!
Don't bother CHB, luds couldn't lie straight in bed, hes been caught out time after time and has a remarkable talent for shooting himself in the foot. It was funny for awhile but has pretty much worn thin now.
