Green milked his injury for all he could get, still talking about it being career ending when doctors said he would make a full recovery. I dont think anyone believed it was an illness that would stop him fighting. An obvious suicide attempt only two months ago is a bit more problematic. Mental illness / instability should be treated with much more caution. Im not saying the pole isnt fit to fight ( who knows??) but i know that he tried to off himself. It does seem a bit soon to be defending a title though after an experience like that. You wonder what assessments he has undertaken and whether the medical/ psycho advice has passed him fit to resume training and fighting. You dont have your stomach pumped unless you have overdosed or are suspected of over dosing. You dont accidentally shove a handful of tablets down your throat. And his manager saying his advice to his fighter after being told he was fighting with his missus was " go and take a sleeping pill". Heh...strange advice to settle a domestic argument. The manager is running some cover.
U telling him to fck off? why dont you take your own advice, no one thought Beyer was going to pull that HAT out of the BAG, Danny farked up plain and simple... 1st fight he brawled Beyer. 2nd fight he tried to box him for 11 rounds, 12th round he goes mungrel and brawls almost knocking beyer out. He fcked up, he is not a smart tactician boxer, his best asset is to brawl and he failed to do that for 11 of the 12 rounds in the 2nd fight, everyone thought INCLUDING Danny that it would be a walk in the park, they didnt count on Beyer boxing Dannys ears off all night long! Never the same fight then why did most people think Danny would knock Beyer out in the 2nd fight? everyone was shocked at what was going on, i including the commentators. They pumped Danny up to be some kinda monster in the ring and he couldnt hurt Beyer in 11 rounds after flooring him over and over on the 1st fight.
Dopey, what Green talked about in the months immediately after the op is irrelevant. He could have used it as an excuse after the Tarver fight and hasn't. Unless you're a male nurse, which wouldn't surprise me, **** off with your opinion about the severity of his condition and his references to it.
Im not trynna stir water just wanted to give my opinion of the matter. firstly he had an appendix removed, hardly life threatening surgery. Second he went to the hospital demanding drugs (maybe green also has a drug problem?) when he was refused due to normal procedure (as in u need to be thoroughly examined before any doctor gives u morphine and to be examined properly u cant be under the influence of a pain killer) he's chucked a sad threatening everyone to the point where doctors and nurses had to call the police as they were scared. Now he leaves as he know **** hits the fan, but where do u think he goes? to another hospital? nup str8 back to his holiday only to return to a hospital 4 or so days later and give us a dodgey press conference with the famous starting line of "i dont know why we are having a press conference". he new damn well why, he dogged the busso hospital and and ran from the popo so he had to appear extremely sick to retain public support. It's funny because he ridiculed the hospital saying he has his own specialist who has been treating him for 4 yrs and tried to get the hospital to listen to his "specialist" on the phone busso doctors refused and he has belittled them. so his specialist has been treating him for all those yrs prescribing him drugs yet not once came across his "softball sized" appendix? If given the chance busso doctors would of had that sorted pretty quickly. what ever u believe is up to u but recovery time from an appendix removal is quite quick and patients usually return to 100% health.
Newbie or not,i make more sense than you. Green lost because he cant box,and beyer could.:-( And in the second fight, just like most of the country we all thought green would hammer beyer inside 5/6 rounds. But he came home a loser again because danny green never has a plan B. Same as mundine fight, same as tarver...No plan B:bart
I don't question the result, it was a perfect example of Green's inability to adjust. He had a plan "B" he simply wasn't good enough to employ it without the argy bargy.......why no argy bargy, c'mon use your brain. Never has a plan "B", so what did he do to a bigger Flores???atschatsch Like Ty you can't see a fight for what it is in reasonable terms without buggering your senses with hate...I am not a Green fan. I have heaped as much scorn on Green as anyone who is willing to put in rational context and view it as boxing and not a ego or personality issue. Read above Ty.
Don't get all emotional now Toni. We all know that you have to gobble up Danny's lies to get your shitty articles in Hyder's magazine. Over the years Danny has used every excuse in the book when he loses - * Weight drained against Mundine * Hernia and promotional duties when Tarver embarrassed him in the ring. * Poor refereeing when the dumb **** got himself disqualified against Beyer. As a general rule whenever Danny Green talks the fans should just believe the complete opposite.:good
Flores had only fought 2 fighters in the top 50 before he fought Green. .http://www.iboboxing.com/rankings/200.html
if the Pole is over his demons, fit and health and isnt forced to come in at Danny Weight then he wins easy and will possibly knock Danny Boy out, it will be similar to the Tarver fight as soon as Danny gets hit. Danny has been quoted in the media saying they have inside information on the pole. I personally dont think he would duck Tarver for a more dangerouse opponent and i think this Pole when on his A game is more dangerouse than Tarver, given Dannys history im a bit suspect until i know more about the Poles current condition.
regardless of his size advantage Flores didn't have the skill to trouble Green. He has a very padded record.
Are you taking the ****? This is why I hardly comment on here anymore. Go back and read what I earlier wrote and make an intelligent effort to converse on the point.
