I been arguing with you for four years and i'm happy to call that your best post.

Great link, and great to see him so well if not doing just great. Why the **** is there no book!? There is a book in that man. Somebody just wants to grab him and ghost write it.

i always liked Greg Haugen...an interesting guy..not just for getting slaughter by Chavez, but as well for his skilled, classy wins over Jimmy Paul and Vinny Paz..getting robbed in that 1st fight and the beautiful job he did on Paz in the rematch...by outpsyching Camacho in that 1st fight of theirs and hanging the "L" on the Macho Man's career...a great guy who needs a book written on him.

I get you and McVea confused, sorry.

Now that I think more about it, I actually agree with a good deal of your tripe.

And Haugen was totally old school, a cutey with bulldog tenacity that only an unhappy childhood could provide.

His title winning bout with Jimmy Paul is a very underrtaed performance..and the boxing press loved to prattle on about Haugen being a barroom brawler...tough guy type of fighter....ridiculous...I used to think "what are these writers paid for anyway?" Haugen was a clever, slick fighter vs paul...taking a quick half step back after countering Paul..Greg was a good 15 round fighter and a strategist.
