chavez was top level at 140lbs, not camacho.remember chavez crushed both haugen and camacho. i see haugen being about as good as a kotelnik, about that level, a very good fighter, one to be respected, but not someone a prime hatton couldnt handle decisively. pacquiao, mayweather, chavez, whiticker, are top pfp type fighters.hatton was a top 10 pfp fighter in his prime at 140 lbs.i dont see haugen as being the one to derail a 43-0 hatton, mayweather?yes, pacquiao?yes, haugen?no.
Nevertheless, Camacho would have been too much for Ricky Hatton...and I doubt that he would have done as well as Haugen did against the Macho Man. Haugen is terribly underrated...just as Hatton is overrated.. and I think he nicks the decision vs Hatton.
thats where we disagree,i think a prime hatton could have defeated 140 lb version of camacho, but that is another thread all together, but i understand you can make a arguement either way.
Ok,...that's fair. Personally, I don't think Hatton would have been able to hit Camacho with the proverbial handful of rice to be honest..but to each his own.
I agree with Red Cobra. Ricky got schooled by Louie Collazo, and got a gift. And I don't think I have to state the difference in class between Collazo and Camacho. The Camacho that beat Howard Davis at 140 would box the living **** outta Hatton.
