GRJ was absolutely brilliant!...Future Superstar?

GRJ impressed the hell outta me, destroying the fw champ like an unrated clubfighter. I had picked GRJ to win, but figured he would have to walk through some fire...

That combination that dropped gonzalez the first time was so fast, i didn't even see it...GRJ is like RJJ quick. He threw a punch blocked the counter then landed another punch in like the space of 1/10 of a second.

A whole new level....

Forget the loma fight....GRJ was dehydrated that night....and loma looked to be about 10 lbs bigger. GRJ beats loma in a rematch. I think he beats pretty much everybody at fw with the exception of walters...

 

GRJ looked great, no doubt about that. Bring on GRJ vs Hobochenko 2!.

 

"Forget the Loma fight" then makes a bunch of excuses haha. Either way yeah, I'm happy he was able to win and he was very impressive. Boxing needs young talent not old guards.

I think he'd give anyone problems in the division except for Walters and Lomachenko, I think those two are above his level.

Yeah, so Russell-Loma was a draw but the Salido fight was domination, nice consistency here. Either way at least Lomachenko had halfway legitimate excuses (lowblows, Salido coming in overweight, there for all to see).

Both Lomachenko and Russel are great boxers, entertaining. Both should unified after grabbing an other belt for a mega fight!

Over rated. This guy beat an old gonzalez. He has been exposed before and he will get exposed again.

 

he is only good cause he was paired with a slower opponent.. styles makes fight!!

 

It's hard to say if he's actually made any improvements since the Loma fight. Gary Russell is incredibly dangerous because of his speed and his conditioning.

Loma shut him out by allowing Russell to throw and miss his punches, and then capitalize through the few openings available during the early rounds, and then start timing him relatively easily later on in the fight.

That's what I thought Gonazales was going to do, but he failed to do so. With that said, while it was a great win by Russell, it still doesn't tell us if he's made any improvements because he's done what he's always done. He's a fast starter that uses his speed and conditioning in order to give his opponents very few openings.

But we really don't know if he's made any improvements. These Olympic medalist, like Rigo, Loma, Ward, GGG, are on another level. Loma proved that the way he beat GRjr.

Can anyone else do that? I don't know. Stylistically, Walters has the advantage, but will Walter's be patient enough? That's the big question.

 

If you really think Salido dominated Chenko, then you are a bona fide idiot. Salido was close to being stopped in the late rounds. He was lucky to have hung on for the win.
