He’s got so little charisma or wit, he doesn’t make charming mistakes, he just comes across as an idiot.
DeGale really needs to learn how to pick his matches, it's one thing getting under the skin of a lad like Dilks, who's a heart on the sleeve kinda bloke, to a polished performer like Groves who has The Dark One on his side no doubt giving him pointers before appearing on set. Groves might as well enjoy this, he had to take some **** off DeGale before the fight, if there's one way to get to somebody it's sly little digs with a smile on your face, as opposed to flat out verbal warfare.
That's how Groves dealt with him before the fight. Remember on Ringside when DeGale was begging Groves to trade with him. Groves simply put him in his place that he wasn't going to do anything James wanted. And he didn't. Groves imposed his fight plan, DeGale couldn't.
Isn't Steiglitz* fighting Kessler for the WBO? Unless they'll claim Degale is a World Champion if he picks up the interim... Kessler would take Degale apart even if it is next year.
I agree with the first part, but not the second. Groves and Degale shouldn't be fighting any time soon. Best to let their careers progress a bit more before they meet again.
I dont see the rush. It just sets both guys back. At the moment both men came out of a close fight with credit and things to work on. If they fight again and one comprehensively defeats the other it basically ruins that guys career. Let them get to 25 fights before they rematch.
