Groves and Degale in altercation ringside

He looked really good against Murray and Gutknecht tbf
not the best of opponents but he paced himself well in both fights and looked lethal against Gutknecht especially.
But it does need to happen this year, if for the interest only. The longer they leave it the less interesting it becomes.

 

Neither fighter is shot. When you face higher quality opposition, you don't always look spectacular.

They are two of the best in the division which is as good as they ever were.

 

Exactly. People watch C Smith and call him a beast when he dominates bums. GG destroyed Murray (genuine fringe World level fighter) and get critised lol. Murray would be easily best win on C smith record.

 

Tough one for groves atm. Always fancied him to beat degale again. Not quite so sure now tho. But i d prefer he just continues on with his own thing atm. Hes not in a position to dictate a good percentage. Plus nowadays going up against a matchroom fighter is hard work. You really are up against it. From press conferences. To commentators. To judges. To refs. To the promoter winning support for his own fighter. Other matchroom fighters kind of intimidating you...talking up the other side etc. You really are going into the lions den. I m not saying their cheating. Just influencing a lot of different things.

Thats when booth would have been great in groves,s camp. Would have probably helped anyway. Regardless good fight but groves better to get a few good wins going before thinking about it.

 

Degale is a wide boy, he should be adored and a PPV star but instead comes across as a tit earlier in his career and his mask even slips these days
